Nutriquine and EHS Join Forces as Pegasus Holding, Suported by We Are Jane

April 7, 2023 – As Pegasus Holding, Belgian companies Nutriquine and European Horse Services (EHS) are joining forces with investment company We are Jane. Nutriquine (Cavalor) and EHS are global players in the field of nutrition, care, and transport of sport horses. Pegasus Holding enables horses, riders, and their teams to spread their wings even further, all under the passionate supervision of CEO Lieselot Hamerlinck.

Nutriquine (Cavalor) and EHS have been preferred suppliers to many teams in the world's top equestrian disciplines for years. Nutriquine has built an international reputation with the Cavalor brand, focusing on nutrition and care for sport horses. EHS is a logistical company       par excellence, with an expert team available 24/7 to organize international (air) transport of horses, including all sanitary and customs requirements. These two companies are coming together in the new venture Pegasus Holding.

"We believe in the future of equestrian sports. It starts with passion and grows by combining forces and sustainably responding to trends and developments," says Lieselot Hamerlinck, CEO of Pegasus Holding, who aims for growth through diversification and engagement with riders and their teams. "I believe in taking care of our customers, the equestrian athletes, and in the broadest sense, managing their elite sport stables. This way, we build the future of the industry and our companies."

Growth through Diversification and Engagement

Pegasus Holding prioritizes the health and well-being of equine athletes and their teams, with the goal of providing maximum support to top riders in their sporting careers. The passion for horses and equestrian sports, along with similar visions focusing on quality and innovation, form the foundation of this collaboration. The fact that this new venture will be led by CEO Lieselot Hamerlinck enticed We are Jane to invest in Pegasus Holding.

"What characterizes Nutriquine and EHS is not only that they are at the top of their markets, but also that they already have a rich history and have only strengthened this unique position over time," says Patrick Keereman, co-founder of Nutriquine (Cavalor) and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Pegasus Holding. "Bringing Nutriquine and EHS together broadens and strengthens the connection with top riders and their teams, who are the ambassadors of equestrian sports worldwide. Pegasus has all the cards to continue and strengthen the existing growth of both Nutriquine (Cavalor) and EHS."

The Power of Female Leadership

Nutriquine and EHS are pleased that We are Jane is providing financial support for this new venture. We are Jane is the first Belgian investment fund by women for women. Two strong companies with unique strengths, significant growth potential, and led by a female CEO, make We are Jane join the venture. Lieselot was previously the Managing Partner of Nutriquine (Cavalor) and thus has extensive experience in the global market of equestrian sports. Conny Vandendriessche will join the Board of Directors of Pegasus Holding on behalf of We are Jane.

Reaching Greater Heights

Belgium is among the world's top countries when it comes to sport horses: leading the world rankings in jumping horse breeding and producing top trainers of Arabian Show Horses, among others. Thanks in part to innovative and high-quality suppliers such as EHS and Nutriquine, horses can achieve the best results worldwide. The merger of Nutriquine and EHS into Pegasus Holding strengthens the international position of the equestrian sport and Belgium's status in equestrian top sports, according to Peter Bollen. Filip Vande Cappelle, founder of EHS, will eventually step back from the day-to-day operations of his company, European Horse Services, and join the Board of Directors of Pegasus Holding along with shareholders Nutriquine and We are Jane.
